Mitä Wedding on suomeksi ??

I got the change to go to a real finish wedding... we all know the weddings are in Germany or the US but Finland that’s special!
Ok I experienced the finish wedding as a mixture between the German and the US weddings its just like the golden middle.
So the church is more like the US version of a wedding. Its short (40min) and there is no worship like it would be in a German wedding. But the sisters of the bride sang a song so there was music.
The sermon was just the necessary things about marriage and LOVE and the basic stuff. It wasn’t that long. The priest was the only person to speak. The groom was waiting at the end of the aisle for his bride. The bride and groom were standing the whole time and only she got a ring. Not like in Germany where both get a ring.
AND NOW THE VERY BEST PART.... after the church... all people leave the church and then the bride and groom are coming out and guess what!! Everyone is throwing rice. When I heard that I got really excited because we don’t do that in Germany ( it is not allowed because birds who eat the rice will die because the rice bowed up in there stomachs, but anyway) That was so cooooool.
After the church they all drive to a Restaurant or another location where the food and the program are. So there is no honking by the way (in Germany everyone is honking with here horns during the ride to the restaurant).

You see, German weddings are getting really long. So I really liked the finish wedding because it was everything that you need for a wedding but not too much.
There was music and a game and of cause a speech.
And we drove home after 8:00pm so we were not over tiered anyway I fell asleep in the car.

Finland again

Just in case you ever want to fly to Finland DONT book a flight with a layover... trust me I have done it 4 times and its not worth it ! I mean you lose so much time. A flight to Finland is not a big thing but if you have to spend most of the time on another airports in whole Europe it can get a little bit annoying especially if those countries you end up have no Euro-money.

This time they did not lose my luggage... but I took a bus from Helsinki to Jyväskylä (that took me from 5pm to 9:30pm) But finally after a whole day of traveling I made it ....

I am staying in the same apartment like last time, but this time Heini ( Anttis sister ) and Maria ( a friend) are living there too. So I am not spending my mornings alone reading, now I have Maria and we are going to the city or we are reading together,having breakfast and going to the S-Market. So ya I have more company.

I made food! Antti had to work in the afternoon so he came back around 9:30pm.
Maria and Heini already went to the place where the wedding will be tomorrow. So I was alone almost the whole day long. I used the time to chat with Miri was listening to music and cleaning Anttis room :) Ya I was really borad.

We drove 2 h to the wedding... I was wearing the black dress from the DTS graduation but I forgot to bring a jacked or a scarf so I was wearing my white coat almost the whole time...( unbelievable 2 weeks ago I have been on a wedding in Germany and I was sweating like crazy because it was 30 °C and now I was freezing)It looks like as if the summer is really gone, its more winter than fall already)
The wedding was really nice. The food was so good and the bride was so beautiful! Everything was like it should be at a wedding.

Visit at Anttis grandmas place. She cooked for us and I had to eat a ton of ice-cream! After that we visited Anttis Dad and brothers and Nina and Leevi... oh my word I promise he is the cutest toddler I have ever seen :)

I started to walk around the tiny lake that is close to the apartment because I have nothing to do in the mornings.
We were renting a movie and bought a lot of finish candy (oh man they are really good)

I walked around the lake again. We took some pictures on the lake ,backing muffins, drinking tee, having fun.

I walked around the lake. We went to the city and tried to get information on "European people moving to Finland " We went to Mc Donald and they have something new that is really good ( my new favorite ) its ice-cream with cafe... wow simple and good!
In the evening we went to the “Tukikohta” It’s the Youth-group of the church that Antti goes to. I just love finish worship! The good thing about a huge Youth at a church is that you can always organize a translator :)

I got the ultimate chance to go to the "NiceDesign" Weekend. It’s a weekend for women, organized by Anttis Youth-group and his sister Heini was one of the head leaders so she got me in.
It started at Friday evening around 6 and went till Saturday evening.
We played games, talked, and had an awesome speaker who spoke about "finding your identity as a woman" and much more. We had worship! And again... finish worship (you should know my opinion by now!) (AWESOME :)

Coming home from the "NiceDesign" and ordering a pizza... okay for German people that is nothing special but for Americans and Suomalainen: Corn on the pizza!
I love that...we had so much fun just ordering that pizza!

Breakfast: leftover pizza and French- toast. We went to the movies and watched "Kong Fu Panda " in suomeksi, with a ton of little kids!
At 5pm we went to Toni and Anna’s place. They are some really good friends and awesome cooks! So we had pizza with blue jeans (something special, not a lot of people know that exotic ingredient) and an evening full of fun.

Guess what? Yes walking around the Lake. Going shopping in the city and buying a sweater for Antti. We ate at a really good restaurant Mexican food! Yummy...and then we drove to Helsinki. We stayed over night at Jani`s place so we watched a movie with him and his fiancé.

23-09-08
10:20am plane takes off from Helsinki to Copenhagen. At 2:14 pm plane from Copenhagen to Zuerich. 5:04 pm train from Zuerich to Rheinfelden. 7:00pm HOME SWEET HOME. I am alone because my parents are on vacation.

Oh yes don’t be disappointed because I have no pictures on the blog...they will come I just forgot my i-pod with the pic`s on it in Finland !
